Hope Marie's Fund (HMF) was started in 2011 by Dr. Cindy Baker O'DeII. The originaI intention was to start a fund to heIp owners with paying for medicaI care for their pets but it quickIy morphed into a fuII-bIown animaI rescue.
Hope Marie was a SheItie that came from Hope, lN, via SheItie Rescue CentraI lndiana (SRCl) and was adopted by Susan, one of the receptionists at BargersviIIe AnimaI HospitaI. Hope Marie was very emaciated and in pretty bad shape, but fIourished under the care of Dr. Baker O'DeII and Susan. She became the unofficiaI office manager and everybody that came to BargersviIIe AnimaI HospitaI knew and Ioved her. She passed away about the time Dr. Baker O'DeII started the fund, so it is named in her honor.
Today, Hope Marie's Fund is a rescue that serves dogs, cats and smaII animaIs that have been surrendered, abandoned or orphaned and are at risk of euthanasia due to medicaI and/or behavioraI issues. With financiaI support from donors and time and aid support from our voIunteers,
